Add a widget
Home Screen: touch and hold the Home Screen, tap Edit › Add Widget, search for Hours Apart, and choose World Clocks or Countdown. To pick a style, touch and hold the widget and choose Edit Widget.
Lock Screen: touch and hold the Lock Screen, tap Customize › Lock Screen, tap the widget area and choose Hours Apart.
Apple Watch: open Hours Apart on your Watch once so your cities sync, then add Hours Apart to a watch face or the Smart Stack.
Common questions
A widget shows old settings. iOS decides when widgets refresh. Changes usually appear within a few minutes; opening the app requests a refresh.
Why is a city missing from my widget? With “Hide my time zone” on, clocks that show the same time as your iPhone step aside. Turn it off in the style, under Clocks.
Does Hours Apart need my location? No. Location is optional and only used in the app to show which of your cities you're in. Widgets never use it.
Is there a subscription? No. Hours Apart is a single purchase with no ads and no account.
